Regardless of how long the manufacturer's warranty is for Canon 040 cartridges, we have extended the warranty to three years. If the cartridge stops working before its normal printing capacity is reached, we will refund the unprinted portion. According to the law, using a supply cartridge does not void the warranty granted to the printer.
